Mouse anti DGKa

  • Background: Diacylglycerol kinase alpha is an enzyme that in Humans is encoded by the DGKA gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It acts as a modulator that competes with protein kinase C for the second messenger diacylglycerol in intracellular signaling pathways. It also plays an important role in the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and phosphorylating diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. Tissue specificity: lymphocytes and oligodendroglial cells. Diacylglycerol kinases are involved in cell signaling, either as regulators of diacylglycerol levels or as intracellular signal-generating enzymes.
  • CAS Number: 9007-83-4
  • UniProt: P23743
  • Host: Mouse
  • Species Reactivity: Human
  • Isotype: IgG1
  • Clone: M6
  • Type: Primary Antibodies
  • Source: M6 is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c mouse immunized with an Escherichia Coli cell-expressed, affinity-purified glutathione S-transferase fusion protein of a C-terminal portion (part of the catalytic domain) of rat DGKa.
  • Applications: IP, WB
  • Field of Research: Cancer
  • Assay Principle: M6 is useful for immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin embedded tissues, immunoprecipitation and Western blotting. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration.
  • Form: Each vial contains 100 µL 1 mg/mL purified mouse monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0,09% sodium azide
  • Precautions: This product is intended FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY, and FOR TESTS IN VITRO, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving Humans or animals. This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strong acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water. This datasheet is as accurate as reasonably achievable, but Nordic-MUbio accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in this information.

  • Storage Conditions: The antibody is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; For prolonged storage prepare appropriate aliquots and store at or below -20°C; Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly in the dark at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2); Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided; Working dilutions should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day; If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation; It will not affect the performance or the concentration of the product
