• Storage Conditions: May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Specificity: Recognizes and binds to intact whole C. botulinum Toxin B, amino acids 1278-1291. Has been found to stain Neuro2A cells treated with GT1b ganglioside prior to the addition of C. botulinum Toxin B. Inhibits the entry of C. botulinum Toxin B to Neuro2A cells treated with GT1b ganglioside prior to the addition of the toxin. Cross-reactivity:C. botulinum Toxin B (1278-1291): 100% C. botulinum Toxin B: 100%, C. botulinum Toxin A, C, E and F (1272-1280): 0%.
