  • Function: Calcium/phospholipid-binding protein which promotes membrane fusion and is involved in exocytosis.
  • Storage Conditions: Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long-term storage, addition of 0.1% human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin is recommended. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
  • Specificity: Annexin A7
  • Formulation: Sterile-filtered clear solution (0.25mg/ml) in 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 150mM NaCl,1mM DTT, 40% glycerol.
  • Buffer pH: pH 8.0
  • Target Background: Annexin 7 is a member of the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipids binding proteins. It includes a unique, highly hydrophobic N-terminal domain of 167 amino acids and a conserved C-terminal region of 299 amino acids. The latter is composed of alternating hydrophobic and hydrophilic segments. Analysis of this protein suggests that Annexin 7 is a membrane binding protein with diverse properties including voltage-sensitive calcium channel activity, ion selectivity, and membrane fusion.
