• Storage Conditions: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 °C. Stable for 12 months at -20 °C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Specificity: Recognizes Leishmania major surface protease (gp63), a 63kDa highly conserved protein which is found at high density on many Leishmania species. Recognizes living and fixed parasites, but will not bind to denatured or improperly folded recombinant gp63.
