- Description: Trovafloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits the uncoiling of supercoiled DNA in bacteria by blocking the activity of topoisomerase IV (IC₅₀ = 3.02 µg/ml) and DNA gyrase (IC₅₀ = 7.13 µg/ml). Displays potent activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
