ERCC1/RAD10 (Tumor Progression Marker)

  • Gene Name: [ERCC1]
  • NCBI Gene ID: 2067
  • Reactivity: Human
  • Storage Conditions: Antibody with azide: store at 2 to 8 degree C.
Antibody without azide: store at -20 to -80 degree C.
Antibody is stable for 24 months. Non-hazardous. No MSDS required.
  • Specificity: Recognizes a protein of 110kDa, identified as Excision Repair Cross Complementing 1 (ERCC1). It is a mammalian nucleotide excision repair (NER) enzyme involved in repair of damaged DNA. ERCC1 is a homologous to RAD10 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is required in mitotic intrachromosomal recombination and repair. ERCC1 is required in repair of cisplatin-induced DNA adducts and ultraviolet (UV)-induced DNA damage. High expression of ERCC1 has been linked to tumor progression in a variety of cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), squamous cell carcinoma of the head, ovarian cancer and esophageal cancer.
