Alginate Antibody
- Background: Sodium alginate is used in biological experiments for the immobilization of cells and encapsulation due to its biocompatibility and simple gelation with divalent cations such as Ca2+. Studies suggest that preparation of alginate microspheres will sustain protein delivery within tissue scaffolds (1), as well as in many other cell types (2).
