Polyclonal P504S (AMACR) is an enzyme in the b-oxidation of branched –chain fatty acids. Signet’s P504S antibody may be useful in confirming small foci of prostate carcinoma in needle biopsies. P504S has also been found to stain pre-malignant lesions of the prostate, high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) and atypical adenomatous hyperplasia.
