BUGS’n
BEADS™
GENPOINT® AS is offering a fast, easy, and reliable method for
preparation of PCR-ready DNA from pathogenic bacteria. The BUGS’n BEADS™ kit
extracts bacteria from complex solutions like food and clinical samples,
hence "removing" PCR inhibiting components found in these substances. The
bacteria are immobilized onto the beads and separated from their original
solution. Lysis is then added and DNA is immobilized back onto the
magnetic particles. With this process you have isolated DNA from
pathogenic bacteria present in your solution and can further continue with a
PCR analysis.

Bacteria isolation kit - BUG TRAP
Genpoint®AS
is currently offering a fast, easy and reliable method for rapid
isolation and concentration of bacteria from a wide range of materials
and complex solutions. Following extraction of bacteria with the BUG
TRAP kit, the bacteria can be subjected to a wide variety of different
applications such as antibody detection and ATP-measurements, or
inoculation into specific medium for further enrichment.

Specific PCR primers for identification of pathogenic bacteria.
DNA sequences are today the most precise information available for
identification of an organism. By utilizing the information present in DNA
sequences from the microorganisms of interest GENPOINT® has
developed primers that is highly specific for some of the most important
pathogenic bacteria, including Campylobacter spp., Campylobacter jejuni,
Campylobacter coli, Listeria spp., Listeria monocytogenes, &
Salmonella spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, and E. coli O157.
